Imbuements

Imbuements let you customize your gear with powerful enhancements. They are one of the biggest sources of build identity in NexusServer.

Think of imbuements as the difference between:

• “I have a good item”
• “I have *my* item”

Imbuement Slots

Many items have imbuement slots by default. Higher-tier gear can unlock **extra slots** at tier milestones, which lets you push deeper builds.

This is why:

• a good item base matters
• a good tier matters
• imbuements are what turn “good loot” into “perfect loot”

What Imbuements Do (Examples)

Imbuements generally fall into three player-facing categories:

Offense

Improve clear speed and kill pressure.

• damage boosts
• critical-focused setups
• faster farming builds

Sustain

Stay alive longer and reduce downtime.

• lifesteal/leech style effects
• mana sustain for casters
• “never stop hunting” builds

Defense / Utility

Build for specific content or matchups.

• elemental protection setups
• anti-burst options
• mobility/utility oriented builds

How to Build With Imbuements

Build a “Hunt Set”

For fast farming:

• prioritize sustain to reduce potion use
• add just enough offense to speed up clears

Build a “Fight Set”

For PvP or hard content:

• build against what kills you most often
• stack offense only if you can survive long enough to use it

Build a “Boss Set”

For specific bosses:

• specialize into the boss’s damage type and mechanics
• swap imbuements like you swap strategy

Why Imbuements Feel Great

Imbuements create real decisions:

• Do you go all-in on damage for faster clears?
• Do you build defense to survive dangerous hunts?
